FM 200

FM200 is an example of clean agent fire suppression system that prevent fire from occurring on valuable equipment and facilities. It operates by quickly capturing heat from a fire and therefore reduces the temperature so that the fire cannot ignite. Unlike most suppression agents that deposit a chemical residue, FM200 is the best for use in areas with expensive equipment or other perishable materials. The system is primarily intended to bring its intervention within 10 seconds, that is why it is prepared for fast activation. FM200 is in liquid form and when released the becomes a gas thus discharging it covers large areas of the building. Most important it is free from environmental regulations compared to other systems that use halon gas to operate.
